You can’t necessarily pinpoint the leak in a concrete slab, but usually 3 to 5 feet would be acceptable. That’s what you’re shooting for. You do not want to be guessing with the leak is in a concrete slab and have the guy saw cut and jackhammer up your floor then say: Oh we missed it!
So that’s what electronic leak detection is. There is also a handheld moisture meter one could use but that’s more vertical walls and elevated moisture, or moisture mapping. That is mapping out what’s wet mapping out what’s dry.
