You have water coming up, and your carpet is all wet and soggy and I don’t know why.
Quick way to find out if you have a water leak, is to shut of the water from your water supply. (Toilets, sinks, tubs, etc) .. make sure you have non of them running.
Go out to your water meter and see if it’s spinning. If you see it spinning, it’s an indication that you have water movement. Which most likely means you have a water leak. This is a very inexpensive way of figuring it out.
However, the professional way would be a professional leak detection . Which could run anywhere from $450-$550. With electronic leak detection, you have special equipment that you can actually listen to the noise and put yourself 3 feet from where the actual source is.
That’s usually going to be inside the foundation of your concrete. Normally it is going to be 18 inches or so into the concrete. So you would have to saw cut and jack hammer up the floor to get to the supply line. Typically copper with a pin hole to it. It could also be old and galvanized.
Unfortunately, that just get’s you to the one pin hole and that’s not always the best way to go.
The other way is to do a re-route where you abandon the water supply lines and all water under the concrete and run it up above.
