Many plumbers will tell you that plumbing in your walls is essential.

Rattling pipes

Water hammer can be used to describe the sound of water moving through pipes. A port is located near your faucet or plumbing fixture and runs across your roof to dispel this problem. A vacuum can form if the vent is blocked and the hammering sound may occur.

Main Line Problems

Disconnect your main water supply. Move the floor faucet around your house (in your basement or outside, or on the floor nearest to a main sewer line). Water will eventually stop flowing, and water can drain from your pipes. Let water re-fill the pipes, and then turn off your faucet.

Water pressure

Experts in plumbing will tell you that high water pressure can cause loud banging and rattling from your plumbing. Ask your plumber to install a pressure regulator or a decrease valve. This will allow water to flow more efficiently throughout your home. This makes it easier to maintain your plumbing system and water-supplied appliances.
